Carry the task state across a handoff so the receiving agent starts informed\.

## Carry the state, not just the request

A handoff that forwards only the next instruction loses the reasoning behind it\. Passing the task state as well, including what was tried and what was ruled out, is what keeps the receiving agent from repeating the previous one’s work\.

## What this page exercises

This use case is illustrative\. It shows the shape and route of a use\-case page rather than describing a released capability\. The terms it uses are defined in the [glossary](https://www.hoalee.net/agentic-suite/docs/reference/glossary), and the order to check a stalled handoff in is the [operations runbook](https://www.hoalee.net/agentic-suite/docs/guide/operations/runbook)\.
